In the series”Home screen!” we feature the home screens of people from the worlds of social media, marketing, media and technology – including app recommendations and tips for everything from to-do lists to little games in between. Today: Peter Goeke, co-founder and CPO/CMO of the start-up in Cologne DeepSkill.
I am a local patriot…
I feel the love for the Rhineland every day: personally, at work, but also when I look at my home screen. Unlike my time in Hamburg, I can look back on much less rain that was announced. Why is this so important to me?
With only two days of presence in our Cologne office, my co-founder Miriam Mertens and me at DeepSkill about modern work. This includes a lot of freedom as well as mobile work. I take chances and work a lot on the road. That’s why my mobile phone is an important companion for me, and not just for weather updates.

My three mobile daily companions are: LinkedIn, Teams and Dott
LinkedIn (for Android) is an important platform for me. Not just for networking, but primarily as a storytelling opportunity. I am inspired by the different perspectives that are shared through these platforms. But I also enjoy sharing my own thoughts with the world and exchanging ideas about them.
WITH Microsoft Teams (for Android) I work every day. Since much of the communication at DeepSkill is done through teams, the app makes my daily life so much easier. A quick response in between, my on-call meeting calendar, or if there’s no other option, an off-train meeting. Almost a little all-around talent.

dot (for Android) is perhaps a little less well known as a third app because there are so many competing apps. Since I move a lot in the Bonn area, Dott with its e-scooters is the perfect companion for me to get from point A to point B quickly and save time on travel.
Not only is it useful for the last mile between the train station and home, but it also makes the journey home much more exciting.
My app for now and then
When “an apple a day…” is no longer enough, the doctor has to stop by our place, or rather I have to visit the doctor. And who doesn’t know that finding a meeting is not that simple. Here is ClickDoc (for android) another very useful app that I use.
With it, I can quickly and easily book an appointment directly into the practice calendar. Not bad, right? At the end of the day, what counts is what happens behind the screen or, as on my home screen, behind the weather map.
Family time away from the screen is most valuable. The screen just stays black – that’s pretty much how I like it the most.
